Walid Raad came to São Paulo in order to prepare his participation in the 31st Bienal. He returned to New York and reported his impressions to us:

"Dear all,

I wanted to thank you for this past week.

But more importantly, I write to warn you about the building you are working in. It is - how should I say - messing and interfering with, throwing into disarray, unsettling your minds and bodies. I can tell from the first photographs I took of its insides. You were all behaving in odd ways when inside, and this was quite troubling.  It’s the building. Not you. Be careful".
