Workshop Series
Projeto Clima_Ibirapuera brings together theory and practice over Parque Ibirapuera’s extended territory. The general idea is to look for the missing green area of the Park, which was fragmented, appropriated and misused during the last six decades. Clima is the embryo of the post-graduate research at FAU USP (Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo), “Parque Ibirapuera - 60 anos (1954-2014): Símbolo urbano, metáfora da urbanidade”. It is based on archival documentation of the park and surrounding institutions, as well as in practices and observations in loco. It will be developed in two modules: a preparatory one in September and its development in October and November 2014. Projeto Clima_Ibirapuera is inscribed in both themes suggested by Turning a Blind Eye:
mapping and economics: relations between conflict and space as they appear through cities, territories and ecologies
-lost sights, lost sites: focused on recalling the images which document the city of São Paulo, through archives, and through drawing classes in contested public spaces.
